Prof. Connie Braun Lecture, “Reflections of Memory, Sorrow, Place and Sacred”
Connie T. Braun will read from her collection of meditative, personal, memoir, lyric essays and narrative poetry that explores the multi-valences of silence within themes of loss, displacement, identity, heritage, and faith.
Linked together, these pieces ultimately form a memoir about her maternal grandparents’ and her mother’s life in Poland, their immigration to Canada after WWII, and probe how both silence and memory tell a story.
Light Refreshments to follow.
