Fraser Health Authority Stakeholders Workshop, TWU’s Dr. Rick Sawatzky, Canada Research Chair in Person-Centred Outcomes, is the Methods Cluster Lead
Fraser Health Authority Stakeholder Workshop to provide advice on priorities for advancing the science of patient centred measurement.
The Canadian Institutes for Health Research’s strategy for “patient oriented research” has provided funding for the BC Patient-Centred Measurement Working Group to develop a Patient-Centred Measurement Methods Cluster.
The mandate of all the BC SUPPORT Unit Methods Clusters is to advance the scientific methods used in patient-oriented research by fostering a community of researchers, with relevant stakeholders, to collaboratively undertake projects which will answer questions about how to do patient-oriented research better.
There are three main goals for BC’s Methods Clusters:
•To advance the science of the methods used within the field
•To promote the use of the knowledge generated by the methods cluster
•To promote the field of research (particularly within patient- oriented research)
We will conclude the workshop by outlining the process for submitting research proposals, as well as the timelines.
