There is a long history of gender-related questions about different types of people belonging or not belonging in particular spaces or places. For example, do women belong in the pulpit? Do prolife student groups belong in a secular university? Do men belong in childcare?  Do trans men and women belong in certain bathrooms? This café will consider the history of gender and space / place, current concerns in religious and secular communities, and some professional theories & practices. At least 30 minutes will be dedicated to a respectful open discussion.
