CANCELLING A HOUSING APPLICATION

If you need to cancel a housing application, please go to your student portal and under the Housing tab, fill out the Housing Cancellation form.


RETURNING STUDENTS

Housing Cancellation and Refund Deadlines

To receive a refund of your housing deposit, you must cancel by the following dates:

ROOM & BOARD

  • Fall semester deadline: June 1st for a full refund of the housing deposit. Please submit a helpdesk ticket.
  • Spring semester deadline: December 1st for a full refund. Please submit a helpdesk ticket.
  • Any cancellations after the above deadlines are considered a Late Cancellation. In this case, please fill out the online Housing Cancellation form. Late cancellations will incur a $500 housing cancellation fee.
  • Students cancelling their housing application after week 2 (add/drop deadline) will receive a pro-rated refund of housing fees based on the date of cancellation.

APARTMENTS

  • Fall semester deadline: Once apartment placements have been selected, the housing deposit is non-refundable.
  • Spring semester deadline: December 1st for a full refund of the housing deposit.
  • Any cancellations after the above deadlines are considered a Late Cancellation. In this case, please fill out the online Housing Cancellation form. Late cancellations will incur a $500 housing cancellation fee.
  • After week 2 (Add/Drop deadline) no refunds will be issued.

ALL MEAL PLANS

  • Housing cancellation before add/drop deadline: Meal plan refunds are subject to a $150 administrative fee in addition to usage charges.
  • Housing cancellation after add/drop deadline: No refunds to meal plan issued.
  • Meal Plan changes only: Please fill out the online Meal Plan Change Form. No changes accepted or refunds given after add/drop.

Note: Housing deposits will be applied as a credit to student accounts after add/drop of the Spring semester.

Refunds due to housing cancellation will be applied as a credit to the student account.
