HR Team Purpose Statement
The TWU Human Resources team exists to build and sustain a ‘renowned employment culture’ at Trinity Western University as Christ-like disciples and professionals in our trade.
Team Objectives
In order to build a ‘renowned employment culture’, we will:
- Become a recognized leader for human resource management in Christian higher education
- Attract and retain faculty and staff of the highest competence and character
- Provide compensation and benefits commensurate with the market
- Ensure faculty and staff have the resources and training necessary to excel in their respective roles
- Encourage open communication in the workplace by keeping faculty and staff informed and by actively listening to suggestions and concerns
- Build a healthy employment culture of excellence and continuous improvement, encouraging personal accountability, celebrating successes, and addressing difficulties with grace and collaborative planning for improvement
- Encourage participation in educational opportunities and professional development, lectures, performances, and mentoring
- Promote healthy lifestyles and continual spiritual growth
- Live out and facilitate the development of a culture of trust at TWU
- Provide a safe, respectable and supportive environment where employees and students can successfully work and learn
