An evening of jazz, directed by SAMC Music instructor Tony Gallo. From swing and Broadway to cool funk, this upbeat night features an array of jazz styles. The carefully hand-picked repertoire highlights the diversity of jazz music and showcases a variety of memorable eras. Trumpeter, Becky Pikkarainen, and alto saxophonist, Jayden Lutz, feature prominently in the group’s improvisational sections. The combo’s particular favourites of the night are “Stolen Moments” by Oliver Nelson and “All Blues” by Miles Davis.
