The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of change for our Trinity Western community, including the Laurentian Leadership Centre in Ottawa.

We are excited to be able to move forward with our program for Fall 2020 and welcome students to the LLC in Ottawa. The semester will come with some changes to promote the health and safety of our students while still providing access to elite internships and community living in the heart of Ottawa. As stated by the University here, "Our ultimate aim continues to be a full return to campus as soon as it is safe for students to do so. We place a high value upon health and safety and are committed to doing all that we can to ensure the well-being of our entire community."

Our current plan for the LLC is the following: the class will be divided into two groups. The first group will come to the LLC for six weeks and participate in their internships full-time while the second group completes their three courses interactively online. Following this, the LLC will be closed for a week and fully sanitized in preparation for the second group's arrival. The groups will then switch for the remainder of the semester and complete either full-time internships in Ottawa or three online courses.

Our director, Dr. Buckingham, along with the COVID-19 team and ELT have worked hard to find a way for the LLC to run while respecting government guidelines related to COVID-19. We are grateful to be able to welcome students to our program and appreciate your grace as we continue to make decisions to keep everyone safe and healthy.
