Global Outreach (May)

Global OutreachMay - June

Every summer Global Outreach sends teams of students to participate in cross-cultural community development and missions projects. While the actual trips range from 2-8 weeks each summer, Global Outreach embraces a BEFORE-DURING-AFTER philosophy of short-term missions. This means that the whole summer program lasts from January-October as you meet with all the other summer teams to help you prepare before you leave and process after you come back. You should think of the summer program more in terms of a discipleship journey rather than just an opportunity for summer travel. Participating with the Global Outreach will stretch and challenge you; you will be given the opportunity to never be the same again!

Applications for Global Outreach Trips (May) are now closed except for Fort Babine.

GLOBAL OUTREACH LOCATIONS

COMPELLING LOVE: GUATEMALA

Partner with Compelling Love Ministries in rural Guatemala. In response to community needs, Compelling Love has focused their attention on education, recovery for malnourished children, access to clean drinking water, and community development. The trip will consist of work projects, children’s ministries, home visits and exploring the beautiful sites that Guatemala has to offer. Join this team as you capture God’s heart for Central America.

HOLISTIC HEALTHCARE: UGANDA

Broaden your understanding of how to offer healthcare in a global context. Partner with a team of Registered Nurses from Village Church and work alongside local healthcare workers residing in Southern Uganda. You will have the opportunity to serve both the Kibaale Community Centre located in the Rakai District, as well as experience running outreach clinics, performing needs assessment home visits and providing health teaching for patients in the community. Join this team to gain first-hand experience loving and serving in a rural hospital.

NEW LIFE: ROMANIA

In the Romanian countryside, students will partner with River of Life Ministries to reach out to at-risk single mothers, orphaned children, and the elderly. Students will have opportunities to work on maintenance and construction projects and plan programs for mothers and children. Join this team and use your gifts to show love to some of the most vulnerable people in Romanian society.

NORTHERN BEAUTY: FORT BABINE (NORTHERN BRITISH COLUMBIA)

Learn from our First Nations in Canada. This team travels to Northern BC to live amongst the Wit’at Nation on Lake Babine. Trinity has a 20-year standing relationship with this community and every year the team is immersed in a month of amazing cross-cultural engagement. Learn how to skin a moose hide or to make bannock all while listening to stories and sharing your own—seeking the common hope we have in Christ. Join this team to humbly love and be loved in return.

WALK WHERE JESUS WALKED: ISRAEL/PALESTINIAM TERRITORIES

Embark on a journey to the Holy Land. This is a land rich in religious and historical significance. You have the opportunity to walk alongside people who are desperate for reconciliation, peace, and unity. The team will first partner with Serve Nazareth and Nazareth Hospital in various ministry placements. Then you will travel to Jerusalem where you will also serve with Musalaha, a ministry whose purpose is to facilitate the dialogue of reconciliation and forgiveness between Israelis and Palestinians. Join this team to experience the importance and challenge of forgiveness in a land rattled by political and religious tension, division, and injustice.
