Basic concepts in mathematics with applications in business. Topics include elementary counting and probability, variables, equations and functions, interest rates, annuities, and loan calculations. The course is aimed at business students and serves to enhance a student's understanding of mathematics and its usefulness in a business environment. Prerequisite(s): At least a C in B.C. Principles of Mathematics 11, Foundations of Math 11, Pre-Calculus 11 or equivalent. (4-0 or 4-0)
