Topic: Charles Williams was arguably one of the most original thinkers of the twentieth century. Called “the third Inkling” by his most recent biographer, his writing today, however, is often overshadowed by that of his more famous friends, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. Join Inklings scholars Laura Van Dyke and Stephen Dunning as they discuss what may be one of Williams’ most distinctive contributions to the church: his “Theology of Romantic Love.”
Speaker: Dr. Laura Van Dyke has taught part time in the English department at Trinity Western University since 2015. She completed her PhD at the University of Ottawa in 2019, with specializations in Twentieth-Century British Literature and in the environmental humanities.
