Trinity Western invites you to Rejoice!

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts will ring with the sound of 125 voices and a 40-piece orchestra as Trinity Western University’s School of the Arts, Music + Culture (SAMC) presents, Rejoice! Under the direction of conductor Dr. Joel Tranquilla, TWU Director of Choral Activities, this annual favourite features TWU’s Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Chamber Singers, and Masterworks Chorus in a musical celebration to usher in the festive season.

Concert Highlights:

  • solos by TWU voice instructor Alison Nystrom, soprano
  • performance of Francis Poulenc’s Gloria
  • works by composers Jeff Enns, Timothy Corlis, John Rutter, and Jonathan Dove
  • traditional carols and audience singalongs.

“Our annual Christmas at the Chan Centre concert is a collaborative gift to the wider community from the Chan family, the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, and Trinity Western University. It is made possible through the generous assistance of the Chan Endowment Fund of the University of British Columbia. Join us to anticipate the coming of Christ with joy and celebration!” says Tranquilla.
