TWU's Louis Bielmann receives 2021 Davis Distinguished Teaching Award for superior teaching

Trinity Western University is pleased to announce that the 2021 Davis Distinguished Teaching Award recipient is Assistant Professor of Business Louis Bielmann.

The Davis Distinguished Teaching Award honours a faculty member who has a reputation for superior teaching, including the ability to stimulate engagement and enduring transformational growth. The award recipient must also be an individual who has demonstrated Christian influence and the ability to effectively integrate and nurture a faith-informed perspective related to their discipline, and who has made a significant contribution to the pedagogical life of the University.

TWU Business students say of Professor Bielmann, "He presents the content in a clear and engaging manner, equipping students with applicable life skills."

"He takes that extra step in assuring we have grasped the concepts of his lectures. He always is quick to respond outside of class time and goes in-depth on the conversation with his heartfelt demeanor and attitude toward us as students."

"He genuinely cares about his students' futures. He has even assisted us in finding internships and job placements post-graduation."

Professor Bielmann is known for seamlessly merging theory with practice, lecture with case study and application, and biblical principles of corporate and personal financial planning. His oversight and leadership of the Student Management Leadership Fund demonstrates his dedication to this kind of excellence in teaching.

Congratulations, Professor Bielmann!
