PRESIDENT, TWU STUDENT ASSOCIATION
Monique Bouchard was born and raised in the Fraser Valley. Passionate about the TWU community, she has stepped into many roles on campus and now serves as the President of the Trinity Western University Student Association. She is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business and Political Studies and hopes to utilize her education in the field of international relations.

FREDRICK FLEMING, B.COMM, C.A.
Fred Fleming lives in Abbotsford, BC with his wife Wilma. Fleming earned his Bachelor of Commerce from UBC and became a CA in 1978. He has served on various boards throughout the years including Focus on the Family Canada and Ravi Zacharias International Ministries.
WILLIAM FRANCIS, M.DIV., D.D. (HON)
Bill Francis and his wife, Marilyn, have served as Salvation Army leaders in the USA, UK, and Canada. He is currently in active retirement in Orlando, FL. Bill earned a BA from Houghton College in 1966, a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1969, and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree (honorus causa) by Houghton College in 2002. Bill is the author of three books, The Stones Cry Out (1993), Celebrate the Feasts of the Lord (1997) and Building inline-blocks of Spiritual Leadership (2015) and general editor and contributor to Conversations with the Catholic Church (2014).
Jim Goertz is the founder and President of G&S Airport Conveyor, a fully integrated, original equipment manufacturer (OEM), providing airport baggage handling solutions specifically for the commercial airline industry. He is was a student at the University of Alberta, The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology where he studied engineering and completed millwright and refrigeration mechanic apprenticeships. Goertz currently resides in Calgary, AB, with his wife.
LORNE JACOBSON, J.D.
Lorne Jacobson is a Senior Managing Director and co-founder of TriWest Capital Partners, a private equity fund which has raised more than $1.25 billion of equity capital over its five funds since 1998. Lorne is a graduate of TWU and the University of Calgary faculty of law, was previously a partner in a national law firm, and currently serves as a director and officer of a number of public and private companies and charitable organizations.
JULIE KERR, M.S.
Julie Kerr is a TWU alumnae (BA psychology, 1989) and Alumni Achievement Award recipient (2014) who also completed a Masters of Science degree in psychology at Western Washington University (1996). She has worked in the health, social services and not-for profit sectors and currently holds a senior administrative position within Alberta Health Services. Julie has served on a variety of boards including Crisis Pregnancy Centres, Cedars Christian School (Prince George), homeless serving organizations, churches and primary care networks. Julie lives with her husband, Michael, and their two teenaged sons in Calgary, AB. Their two daughters have both attended TWU and are now pursuing their careers in Education and Economics.
ROBERT G. KUHN, J.D.
PRESIDENT, TRINITY WESTERN UNIVERSITY
Bob Kuhn is the fourth president of Trinity Western University. He has been a practicing lawyer for more than 34 years and is founding partner of the law firm of Kuhn LLP. In 2001, Kuhn led TWU’s legal team all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada—successfully defending TWU’s Teacher Education Program and overturning contrary decisions made by the BC College of Teachers. In 2012, he served as President of the TWU Alumni Association.
MATTHEW KWOK, MD
Matthew Kwok strives to share the love Christ by making a difference in people’s lives, including those in the Trinity Western University community. He is a resident of Richmond, BC, and serves in his community as an emergency physician at Richmond Hospital, a clinical assistant professor at the University of British Columbia and an elder at Resonance Church. Matthew and his wife Lily, who presently serves at Global Aid Network, have three children attending Richmond Christian School. In his leisure time, he enjoys travelling, cycling, and playing music.
DAVE MACDONALD, M.B.A.

Dave MacDonald is a graduate of TWU ('98) and John Brown University, and has served in various student leadership and staff roles. Dave serves seniors across British Columbia with Baptist Housing, and he and his wife Danaya ('00, '01) are deeply involved in coaching and teaching English to students in rural Guatemala. They live in Abbotsford, BC, with their four young children, and love to host student gatherings.
ROSS REIMER, B.A.
Ross Reimer is the president of Reimer Associates, an executive search firm he established in 1997. Prior to founding Reimer Associates, Ross was Executive Vice President at Reimer Express Lines Ltd. and served on the company’s Board of Directors. Ross is an Honours graduate in business from Trinity Western University. In addition to sitting on TWU’s Board of Governors, he is also active in several charitable organizations.
ANDREA SOBERG, MIR, CHRP
CHAIR, FACULTY ASSOCIATION
Andrea Soberg has worked for TWU since 1999 and was Dean of the School of Business from 2008-2014. She holds a Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources (MIRHR) degree from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Simon Fraser University, and has the Canadian professional certification for human resource management, Chartered Professional in HR (CPHR). Andrea is a Professor, leading the HR Management specialization in the BBA program, and teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate business programs. She is also the Director of the Centre for Global Entrepreneurship, where she contributes to the research on HRM in indigenous Chinese firms.

Matthew St John currently serves as senior pastor of New Hope Church in Minneapolis, MN. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM; DMin) and King University (BA), Matthew has spent years helping local and global leaders know God’s Word so that people from all walks of life may move toward Jesus and take others with them.
RICHARD SUTCLIFFE, M.SC.
Rick Sutcliffe is a long-time teacher and researcher in Mathematics and Computing Science. He has served at Trinity Western since 1983 and developed the University's Computing Science program. Prior to joining TWU, he taught in the public schools, at Douglas College, and at Simon Fraser University. At TWU, he has served as Assistant/Associate or Acting Dean of Science, Computing Science Coordinator, Chair of Mathematical Sciences, Chair of the Faculty Association, Senate Vice-Chair and Chair, and as member of numerous committees and task forces. He also represents TWU on mathematics and computing science articulation committees at the Provincial level. He and his wife Joyce have four children and six grandchildren and reside in Bradner, BC.
WILLIAM TAYLOR, M.A.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH OF CANADA
Bill Taylor is Executive Director of the Evangelical Free Church of Canada, a role he has held since 2008. Bill completed an Honors BA in History and Philosophy at the University of Waterloo and subsequently graduated in 1990 from Wilfred Laurier University with an MA in History. He completed all-but-dissertation towards a Ph.D. in History through the Universities of Toronto and Saskatchewan. Bill and his wife Deb live in Aldergrove, BC.
PERKY VETTER, PH. D.
Perky Vetter completed two years at Trinity Junior College (now TWU) and went on to complete her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education at Chico State in CA. After that she returned to Trinity Western to help set up the women’s physical education department and coached volleyball, basketball, and track & field. She then went on to a few other teaching jobs before setting in at Cal Poly University, Pomona, where she has been the Department Chair of Kinesiology for 15 years. She will retire this Fall after 44 years of teaching, 39 at Cal Poly Pomona. She lives in Southern California where she spends time with her family, including a granddaughter.
