Robert G. Kuhn

TWU PRESIDENT 2013 - 2019

Next to his wife and family, Bob Kuhn’s passion is living the God-given faith adventure called life, which includes motorcycle riding, scuba diving, and blogging. He and a close friend recently returned from a 75-day around-the-world trip that included South America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. In addition to travel, Kuhn is committed to being trustworthy, caring, and transparent. He has put those principles into practice for the past 33 years, in his legal career and as the founding partner of the growing legal team at Kuhn LLP. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2006, Kuhn remains fully engaged as a lawyer and is involved with numerous charitable organizations. Recently, he garnered acclaim for his influential blog,positivelyparkinsons.com, and was chosen by the World Parkinson Congress to be one of 12 international Ambassadors in Montreal in October 2013. In the July 2013, driven by a deep sense of gratitude for the transformation he experienced at Trinity Western, Kuhn accepted the challenge and adventure of stepping into the senior leadership role as President of TWU while the presidential search committee sought out the next president. In March 2014, eight-months later, Trinity Western University announced that Bob Kuhn would be named its President and Vice Chancellor. Kuhn is TWU's fourth President since its inception in 1962. His appointment to a five-year term follows the unanimous recommendation by the Presidential Search Committee, which conducted a comprehensive search for the best person to assume the position of President. The committee was made up of a broad representation of TWU constituencies. Excerpt from positivelyparkinsons.com: “My time at Trinity Western University has, for more than 40 years, represented a major turning point, a metamorphosis, in my life. It provided an incomparable environment for me to grow and flourish. In the space of 2 years (that was all that was offered at the time, being a junior college), I learned invaluable and lifelong lessons in virtually every area of my life. Spiritually, intellectually, athletically, relationally, and in matters of leadership, through its professors, staff and my fellow students, Trinity gave me transformative encouragement that endures to this day.
