Brodie Kern
Biography
Hometown: Kelowna BC
Q: What excites you the most about living on campus as an RD?
I was a student at trinity for one year but lived in apartments during my time. I always heard about the amazing dorm culture but never got the opportunity to live in it first hand so I am beyond excited to get to be a part of it.
Q: If you could take a group of TWU students anywhere in the world to do anything, where would you go and what would you do?
I would take a group of students up to Kelowna to go boating. I grew up on the water for my whole life doing every water sport from surfing to barefooting. I would also say I am in the top 1% of tube drivers in the world so I’d have fun flipping showing my only scary side to the students.
Q: What is your favorite hobby or activity?
I love listening to podcasts. Whether they’re about business, comedy, or faith I’m here for them and love to learn as much as I can. As well, I played a lot of sports growing up so anything where I can get my competitive side out I’ll do.
Q: What is the best book you have most recently read?
My last book was “After Doubt: How to Question Your Faith Without Losing it” It was a really good read all about deconstruction culture in the west and how-to walk-through questions of faith in a biblical and wise way. Other honorable mentions include anything by John Mark Comer, The Gospel Comes With a House Key by Rosaria Butterfield, and The Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer (everyone should read this one).
Q: What are your Clifton top 5 Strengths?
Some of my strengths are #1 Woo, #2 positivity, #3 Activator, #4 Achiever, #5 Communication. If there was an award for wooiest wooer I might win it, whether that’s a good or bad thing I still don’t know!
