Courtney is originally from the lower mainland, having spent much of her youth in Richmond, BC. After graduating from high school, she attended Capernwray Harbor and from there spent five years at Columbia Bible College (CBC) in Abbotsford to complete her BA in Counselling and Human Services. As a student, Courtney enjoyed serving as a resident leader, interning for an outdoor program called Quest, and working as a teacher’s assistant. She also lived in Costa Rica for three months while completing a yearlong leadership certificate program. These years connected her to some of her closest friends and also afforded her some of the greatest learning opportunities she has come across in her professional career. Fun fact: she also started a greeting card company called Paper Heart Calligraphy, where she learned about the process of building a business and creating products.

Currently, Courtney is working through the Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care MA at ACTS Seminary. She is passionate about learning how to facilitate teams well, developing robust and godly leaders, and helping students grow in their knowledge of God and of themselves. In her free time, Courtney loves adventuring into the mountains with friends and grabbing coffee in Vancouver. She is also a big fan of finding fun recipes to cook with and new crafts to work on (her latest hobby is sewing clothes).
