Elaine Zbitniff, BN, MA, RCC, CCC

Clinical Counsellor

I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am both a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Canadian Certified Counsellor.  I also have an undergraduate degree in nursing.

My approach to counselling is relational, attachment focused and trauma-informed.  I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.  I am also trained in Lifespan Integration Therapy and EMDR (in training) to process trauma.  I believe in building relationships with my clients that are collaborative, built on trust, compassionate, empathetic, and based on mutual respect.  I value creating a safe space for clients to feel heard and cared for. I believe in approaching client health holistically.  I am looking forward to meeting you wherever you are at and being a part of your journey of healing and growth.

My passions outside of counselling are spending time with family and friends in nature or reading a good psychological thriller I can’t put down! I also love my furry friends (prior to nursing I was an Animal Health Technologist).
