Clinical Nurse

Biography

I am from Portland Oregon. TWU brought me to Canada in 1997 and I graduated in the area of Nursing in 2001. I started working at the Wellness Centre at the end of 2021. My past nursing experience includes working at BC children’s hospital in Pediatric Oncology for the first two years of my nursing career. I then made a transition into Public health within Fraser Health and focused my attention as a general public health nurse with the focused area of working with Refugees/New Canadians. My family moved to Rwanda in 2014-2018 where I had the privilege of working with my husband through the Wellspring Foundation for Education and volunteering with the starting of Iranzi medical clinic providing Prenatal/Postnatal community nursing and gaining some exposure in Labor and delivery. I returned to Canada in 2018 and continued working in Public Health and remain in that role casually.

I am married to Richard Taylor the love of my life, and we both have a huge heart for the TWU community. We have four amazing children ages 15, 13, 11, and 5 who fill our house with laughter and energy. Our family simply loves community and engaging with people from all steps of life.
