Jared was born in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and grew up in Richmond, BC. Being both a homeschooler and a PK has given Jared a deep appreciation for family and the Body of Christ. He and his wife Ruth Ellen are both TWU alums and met while involved in chapel ministries as students. Together with their two (soon-to-be three) young sons, they love to make a joyful noise to the Lord whether at home or outdoors.
Prior to joining the Student Ministries team in 2012, Jared worked both as a front-end web developer in higher education and as a freelance designer. Sensing God’s invitation to pursue further studies, Jared completed his MA at Regent College in 2014, combining his interest in theology and songwriting to explore how music can help us remember and commune with God.
