Biography

Dr. Auxier is a Clinical Fellow of AAMFT, a Registered Marriage & Family Therapist with the Canadian Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (CAMFT), and is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Washington State. His clinical experience includes employment as a psychiatric social worker, a substance abuse group counsellor, and twenty years in private practice as a marriage and family therapist. His pastoral experience includes seven years in youth ministry and five years as a pastor in New Jersey and Arizona. 

Research interests include theology and popular culture, technology and spirituality, integration of psychology and faith, and forgiveness. He regularly presents papers at the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) and the Society of Professors of Christian Education (SPCE), and offers professional workshops on Motivational Interviewing.
