Patricia recently came to Trinity last year from Alberta to work with the School of Human Kinetics as the Administrative Assistant for the department.
Having done her training through Red Deer College and having worked in various Admin roles over the years, she really values being a part of a faith-based organization and the harmony and lightheartedness the faculty and staff bring to the Gym.
She studied for 1 year at Millar College of the Bible from 2009-2010 in Pambrun, Saskatchewan and has taken a writing course at Trinity Western this past Fall.
Volunteer work is important to Patricia and she has enjoyed volunteering with her church small group at The Salvation Army Gateway of Hope doing food prep, as well as at the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre’s (CAPCC) yearly fundraising gala. She has also taken First Aid several times over the years and considers it to be an essential training for any job.
Interacting with the students and her fellow co-workers is one of the highlights of her day as well as attending Chapel a few times a week
In 2017 she went on the World Race; an 11 month missions trip to 11 different countries, where she and her teammates worked with various missions organizations to help them however was needed. Some examples of the work her team did are: evangelism, teaching English, & kids camps among many other things.
The countries she visited are Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Lesotho, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Haiti, & the Dominican Republic.
This experience increased her passion for continuing missions work locally and globally which she hopes to continue growing at Trinity Western.
