Sarah J Liva, PhD, RN

Assistant Professor of Nursing
Experiences during life transitions can negatively affect patterns of health behavior, altering chronic disease risk trajectories. Through the lens of sex and gender, I am committed to understanding diverse ways health vulnerabilities and decision-making intersect at life transitions. This, with the goal to develop inclusive strategies for identifying and supporting people during critical health windows.

Sarah Liva, PhD, RN, joined TWU as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2018. She has a clinical background in labour and delivery and family practice and teaches in the areas of maternity, evidence-based practice, qualitative inquiry, and knowledge synthesis/translation.
