Q: What excites you the most about living on campus as an RD?

I really love the idea of proximity mentorship and discipleship. Jesus knew how integral it was to be in close proximity with his disciples throughout his ministry and I think us RD’s being close and available to the students really facilitates a strong investment and relationship in the students' lives around us.

Q: If you could take a group of TWU students anywhere in the world to do anything, where would you go and what would you do?

I would take them to Ukraine to partner with the local churches and ministries in the country. I have taken non TWU teams in the past, but would love to take TWU students there to experience the amazing country and people.

Q: What is your favorite hobby or activity?

Volleyball has always been one of my favorite activities to do growing up, playing it most recently in a post-secondary setting. I also love basketball and am a dedicated fan of the NBA. Most recently I have enjoyed hiking/backpacking, road cycling and playing the piano.

Q: What is the best book you have most recently read?

“The Robe” by Lloyd C. Douglas. The book is a historical fiction written in the early 20th century. The story follows a young Roman Centurion named Marcellus, who wins the lot for Jesus’ robe at his crucifixion. The robe changes him when he puts it on, and from there he goes out on an adventure to discover who Jesus actually was and ends up meeting a lot of the first Christians along the way. Great read!
