Large group ministries are one the ways you can engage discipleship with the broader campus. These ministries focus on addressing the important questions of identity and purpose in a campus wide context. What does it mean to be a community after God’s own heart? How can we pursue and embody this in our daily lives? These are the types of conversations that take place at The River and The Challenge.

The River is a discipleship ministry that equips women to grow in their confidence and faith. We engage critical questions faced by women and invite each other to come before God, embrace one another, and grow as God’s beloved daughters.

Main events take place once a month on a Thursday night; they typically include worship, a panel or speaker, a time of discussion, and prayer. They also host various one-off events such as a worship night or a women’s breakfast.

What does it mean to be a Christian man in today’s society? The Challenge is a men's discipleship ministry that provides a place of connection, encouragement, and challenge for TWU students. Whether you are uncertain about the Christian way of life or are in a deep relationship with Jesus Christ, we welcome you to participate. We host a relaxed atmosphere that facilitates any combination of worship, teaching, small group discussion, accountability and prayer. The Challenge is also known for going on a few hikes in the beautiful mountains that surround campus. | Thursday Nights
