About Storybook: The Storybook Program partners with the Elizabeth Fry Society to serve incarcerated fathers in the Lower Mainland. Working out of the Fraser Regional Corrections Facility, volunteers bring children’s books and recording equipment and help these fathers record themselves reading stories to their children. Fatherlessness is one of the most pervasive issues affecting youth from every demographic in Canada. Through the Storybook program, our volunteers are able to help fathers stay connected to their children and families even when they are unable to physically be there. It is an incredibly profound opportunity to build relationships with these inmates and help speak the truth of Christ’s gospel over them.
