Welcome New Students!
Here at TWU, we understand the importance of good beginnings. For that reason, our new-student orientation is more than just confirming your classes and simply moving into your dormitory room.
Instead, orientation at Trinity Western is a four-day event called “O-Week,” held every fall to provide new students with many opportunities to make friends, learn about the resources and opportunities available to you as a TWU student, and to prepare you academically so you start classes feeling ready for the semester. The cost of O-Week is free and your families are invited to experience the first day of orientation (aka “O-Day”) along with you on September 2, 2017.
Highlights of the upcoming Fall O-Week:
- Connections Group – You’ll be part of a small group with other new students in a relaxed setting to learn about the university from an experienced TWU student during all four days of O-Week!
- Meet Your Professors – During O-Week, look for events like “Meet The President” on O-Day as well as opportunities to connect with your academic advisor and enjoy a “Faculty Dessert Night” with a professor who will be teaching you over the next four years.
- Make New Friends – we have a number of FUN! events to help you meet new people at TWU including "After Dark,” Movie Night and the always popular O-Week Square Dance.
- Prepare Your Heart for the Year Ahead - the foundation of our community is Jesus Christ. Join us on Sunday September 3, 2017 for a family worship service in the gym, and later that evening for a relaxed time of praise and prayer at the Backyard Sessions with your new TWU friends.
