Transferring to a new university is an opportunity for a fresh start and a new outlook. It is exciting but can also come with some challenges. The Transition Programs Office is here to provide assistance and support as you become part of the TWU community. The first step is to join us for O-Week – four days of orientation activities intended to introduce you to new friends, provide you with the resources necessary for success at TWU, and prepare you for the start of classes. See below for some events specifically for you!
FALL AND SPRING ORIENTATION
Come join us for O-Week
- Move into your residence or sign up to be a member at one of our commuter collegia
- Discover where you can get involved at TWU – clubs, ministries, travel studies and more!
- Meet other new first year and transfer students through your daily Connections Groups
During O-Week, Connections Groups will help you to meet and get to know a small group of your peers. Transfer students with fewer than 27 credits will meet with their FNDN 101 Connections Group, which will meet weekly throughout the first semester. Transfer students with 27+ credits will meet with their Transfer Connections Groups during O-Week, and then reconnect mid-semester, with a “New Transfer” get-together.
Transfer students (those with fewer than 27 credits successfully transferred) are required to take FNDN 101 in their first semester at TWU. You will meet with your FNDN 101 group (your Connections Group) each day of O-Week, and on the Tuesday, you will have your first FNDN 101 large group lecture.
