Transferring to a new university is an opportunity for a fresh start and a new outlook on your university journey. This transition is exciting – it can also come with some challenges. The Transition Programs Office is here to provide assistance and support as you become part of the TWU community. The first step is to join us for O-Week 2018 – four days of orientation activities intended to introduce you to new friends, provide you with the resources necessary for success at TWU, and prepare you for the start of classes. See below for some events specifically for you!

Come join us for “O-Week” taking place from September 1-4, 2018

  • Move into your residence or sign up to be a member at one of our commuter collegia
  • Find out about ways to get involved on the TWU campus – clubs, ministries, travel studies and more!
  • Meet other new first year and transfer students through your daily “Connections Groups”

Meeting daily during O-Week, Connections Groups will help you to meet and get to know a small group of your peers. Transfer students with fewer than 27 credits will meet with their FNDN 101 Connections Group, which will continue to meet weekly throughout the first semester. Transfer students with 27+ credits will meet with their Transfer Connections Groups during O-Week, and then reconnect mid-semester, with a “New Transfer” get-together.

FNDN 101

Transfer students (those with fewer than 27 credits successfully transferred) are required to take FNDN 101 in their first semester at TWU. You will meet with your FNDN 101 group (your "Connections Group") each day of O-Week, and on the Tuesday, you will have your first FNDN 101 large group lecture.
