WELCOME TO TWU!
Trinity Western University is expanding the way students will access education this fall.
We have good news. Instead of waiting for borders to reopen and travel restrictions to lift, we are expanding our face-to-face campus learning with a bold, multi-access delivery model. Our innovative multi-access approach will allow a seamless transition to on-campus learning for those who are able to travel, while providing all students greater flexibility in their learning.
What is a Multi-Access Campus?
Multi-access simply means that you can access your courses in a number of flexible ways, including:
- On-campus, in-person (contingent on updated BC Provincial Health regulations and policies)
- Online remotely, at the same time as your professor and peers (known as “synchronous”)
- Online remotely, at the same pace but done on your own time (known as “asynchronous”)
- Or, a combination of the above

Ready to plan for your arrival at Trinity Western? You’ll find details about everything from registering for classes to signing up for housing and attending orientation. Our multi-access approach will allow you to begin your studies on time even if arrival on campus has to be delayed or adjusted as events unfold.
1) APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
We offer the opportunity for academic scholarships upon admittance to TWU. Qualifications for these scholarships can be found on our financial aid page. Need-based grants are available for Canadian and U.S. students who demonstrate financial need.
Canadian and international students: complete the TWU financial aid application
U.S. students: complete the FAFSA and include Trinity Western University (use code G09486) as your college option so that we can view your FAFSA.
All Students: TWU will match up to $2,000 of church support for new students entering TWU in the fall semester. The TWU financial aid application (or FAFSA) must be completed before applying for a church matching grant.
2) PAY YOUR DEPOSIT
Save your spot and contribute to your first tuition and housing payment by paying your deposit. Planning to commute? Your commuter deposit is $200. Living in dorms? Your resident deposit is $500.
Deposits can be paid online through your application portal. Deposits are due by May 1 and are not refundable.
3) SIGN UP FOR DORMS OR REGISTER AS A COMMUTER
Planning to live on campus? You will need to fill out a housing application in the application portal. Your deposit must be received in order to apply.
For 2020/21: due to COVID-19 protocols, TWU Campus Housing capacity will be adjusted. Priority will be given to out-of-town students; however, space will be limited.
Going to drive/bus/carpool/bike to campus? Our commuter programs will make you feel right at home.
4) UPLOAD YOUR PHOTO
Upload a photo for your student ID card, which also acts as your meal card, library card, and gym pass. Sending us your photo before you show up in September ensures your ID card is ready when you arrive on Orientation Day. That way you can eat, check out books, and use the gym right away.
Note: The photo must be a clear shot of your head and shoulders, similar to what’s required for a passport photo.
5) REGISTER FOR CLASSES
Course registration for September opens to everyone on May 13. After your deposit is paid, you can familiarize yourself with the process and your first-year classes.
Note: Your deposit must be received in order to register for classes.
6) APPLY FOR STUDENT LOANS
Planning to apply for student loans? Apply as soon as possible so the funding will be available to you in September. Application process differ between Canadian and American students. Contact the Financial Aid Office at email@example.com or (604) 513-2031 for more information. View student loan options
7) SEND OFFICIAL FINAL TRANSCRIPTS TO TWU
You need to make arrangements for all of your final transcripts (high school, post-secondary) to arrive at TWU as soon as possible. (Need more details?)
8) CONFIRM YOUR TWU AWARDS
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to accept your awards. By accepting your awards, they’ll be applied to your TWU student account.
9) MAKE YOUR FIRST TUITION PAYMENT
We strongly recommend you make your first tuition payment on August 8 to allow four to five business days for processing. The first tuition payment for the fall semester is due August 15. Once your payment is received, you will be fully registered in your classes. (More details, including payment plans and options, available on Tuition Payments page.)
10) ATTEND ORIENTATION WEEK
Orientation Week starts on the Labour Day weekend! Stay tuned for details on Orientation Week 2020. Whether you are able to attend Orientation in person, or need to arrive on campus later in the semester, we will have options for you.
