WELCOME TO TWU!
Instead of waiting for borders to reopen and travel restrictions to lift, our face-to-face campus learning has expanded to a new delivery model. Our innovative multi-access approach allows for a seamless transition to on-campus learning for those who can travel, while providing all students with greater flexibility in their education.
What is a Multi-Access Campus?
Multi-access simply means that you can access your courses in several ways, including:
- On-campus, in-person (contingent on updated BC Provincial Health regulations and policies)
- Online remotely, at the same time as your professor and peers (known as “synchronous”)
- Online remotely, at the same pace but done on your own time (known as “asynchronous”)
- Or, a combination of the above
Everything you need to do to prepare for your Trinity Western education – from applying for financial aid to attending orientation – is available on this page. If you haven’t been admitted to TWU yet, please begin by completing your admission application.
1) APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
Academic scholarships are offered upon admission to TWU. Need-based grants are also available for Canadian and U.S. students who demonstrate financial need. Learn more about the process and begin your application now.
U.S. students must complete the FAFSA and include Trinity Western University (use code G09486) as your college option so we can view your FAFSA in order to assess financial need.
2) PAY YOUR DEPOSIT
The enrolment deposit ($450) enables you to register for classes in May and will be credited toward your tuition balance. Planning to live on campus? The enrolment & housing deposit is $950, and a portion will be applied as a payment after the add/drop date for the Spring semester. (Read more on our Housing page.)
Students living outside of North America who have already submitted an admission deposit are not required to pay either of these deposits.
3) SIGN UP FOR DORMS OR REGISTER AS A COMMUTER
Planning to live on campus? Submit an online housing application. Your deposit must be received in order to apply.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, TWU Campus Housing capacity has been adjusted. Priority will be given to out-of-town students; however, space is limited.
Going to drive/bus/carpool/bike to campus? Our commuter programs will make you feel right at home.
4) UPLOAD ID PHOTO
Upload a photo for your student ID card, which also acts as your meal card, library card, and gym pass. It must be a clear shot of your head and shoulders, like what‘s required for a passport photo. (Mobile phone photos are fine. Smiling is allowed, too.)
5) REGISTER FOR CLASSES
Course registration for September opens in May. Once your deposit is paid, you’ll receive an email with your registration date. Familiarize yourself with the process and your first-year classes.
6) APPLY FOR STUDENT LOANS
Planning to apply for student loans? Apply as soon as possible so the funding is available in time for September. Application processes differ between Canadian and American students. Contact the Financial Aid Office at email@example.com or (604) 513-2031 for more information.
7) SEND OFFICIAL FINAL TRANSCRIPTS TO TWU
Arrange for all your final, official transcripts to be sent to TWU from your previous institution(s) of study (e.g. high school, post-secondary) before August 1. This step finalizes your admission. Need more details?
8) CONFIRM YOUR TWU AWARDS
Accepting your financial aid offer ensures the amount is applied to your financial statement and reduces the balance owing. Learn more about the process.
9) MAKE YOUR FIRST TUITION PAYMENT
The first tuition payment for the fall semester is due August 15. We recommend making this payment on (or before) August 8 to allow enough time for processing. Once it’s received, you will be fully registered in your classes. (More information available on our Tuition Payments page.)
10) ATTEND ORIENTATION WEEK
Orientation Week begins on the Labour Day weekend! Details will be delivered to your inbox.
Want reminders about what you need to complete next? Great news! We send emails about upcoming dates and deadlines. Keep an eye on your inbox to see what’s coming up. (Already opted out? Fill out this form to get yourself back in the loop.)
