LANGLEY, British Columbia – As the Trinity Western women's basketball team's season ends on Saturday and with that, so to will the outstanding careers of Holly Strom and Janelle Traber, SpartansTV caught up with both graduating seniors and coach Cheryl Jean-Paul to discuss their careers at TWU.

EDMONTON – Trinity Western’s Emma Nuttall (Edinburgh, Scotland) set a CIS record in the high jump as she cleared a personal best and Spartans record 1.88m en route to winning gold at the national championships and, in doing so, helped the TWU women’s team to an all-time best third place finish.

BURNABY, British Columbia – The Trinity Western Spartans and the Simon Fraser Clan played an outstanding BCIHL play-off game Friday night at the Bill Copeland Arena. But the outcome was not to the Spartans liking as the Clan took game two of the best of three series 2-0. The SFU win ties the series at 1-1 and forces a do-or-die game three on Sunday evening. Puck drop in Burnaby is set for 8 p.m. PST.

EDMONTON – Led by Sabrina Nettey (Surrey, B.C.) and Fiona Benson (Dawson Creek, B.C.), who each captured CIS gold medals, the Trinity Western track and field team collected four medals on Day 2 at the national championships Friday.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Future Trinity Western University women’s basketball player Jessie Brown (Langley) was named the No. 1 high school girls basketball player in British Columbia this week by The Province newspaper.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – The University of Northern BC Timberwolves took advantage of a Trinity Western University miscue in the penalty area to earn a 1-0 win over the Spartans in Friday’s spring friendly exhibition match at Willoughby Park in Langley, B.C.

EDMONTON – On the first day of the CIS championships, Trinity Western’s Sabrina Nettey (Surrey, B.C.) finished fifth in the 60m while both the Spartans men’s and women’s 4x200m relay teams advanced to Saturday’s finals.
