Heesun Nam, MA

Sessional Assistant Professor of Global Education

Heesun Nam’s love for characters and stories began when she realized, as a young girl, that there were multiple versions of Power Rangers in different cultures. Fascinated by the power of narrative, she studied English literature at UBC, earning her Bachelor of Arts in 2004. It was at this time that she discovered the presence of God and His Spirit in stories, which led her to explore Christ-like characters in literature and film at Regent College, graduating with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies in 2009. She is now in the process of completing her second Master’s in Interdisciplinary Studies at Trinity Western University, which, by the grace of God, is where she also teaches international students the art of academic writing. Having also had the experience of learning a new language, Heesun hopes to help her students develop a sense of love and appreciation for writing.
