Undergraduate Courses

Students will meet some of their high school learning outcomes (language arts, humanities, and social studies) through taking four TWU university courses. Courses are delivered online with facilitation by the homeschool teacher/parent. These courses are for credit and part of TWU undergraduate degrees. Thus, students achieve high school completion and simultaneously get ahead by one full semester in their University program. Successful completion of these courses together with homeschool studies will guarantee admission to TWU undergraduate programs.

Courses may include
  • WRTG 101 (Writing & Culture)
  • ANTH 101 (Introduction to Cultural Anthropology)
  • BUSI 110 (Global Business)
  • PSYC 106 (Introduction to Psychology)

*The courses listed below serve as examples and may not be exact offerings.

Academic Mentor

Students will take a non-credit course that provides cultural support and academic transition support in areas such as planning assignments, identifying personal strengths and goals, choosing a major, developing strong study skills, and understanding professors’ expectations.
This non-credit course is similar to the “graduate transitions” component of the B.C. curriculum.
SKLS 009 (Transitions to University)

Facilitator

Working closely with a TWU coordinator, the homeschool teacher or the parent in the home country will provide facilitation and academic support for the students in their academic courses.
