Bhavyaa Sehgal
Biography
I am currently completing my Master’s in Counselling Psychology at Adler University, Vancouver, while serving as an intern at Trinity Western University’s Counselling Centre. I also hold a Master’s degree in Psychosocial and Clinical Studies from Ambedkar University, Delhi, where my journey with counselling first began. My earlier work at a university Wellness Centre in India deepened my understanding of the emotional and developmental challenges young adults face, especially from an Eriksonian perspective of growth and identity.
My approach is relational and attachment-oriented, drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) principles to support clients in finding secure, healing connections. I believe counselling is a welcoming and restorative space where we encounter love, respect, and understanding—and where, through the presence of another, we may also discover the paradoxical capacity to be alone. In and through it all, I trust in the presence of God, who makes healing and restoration possible.
It is my privilege to curate a space of warmth, care, and thoughtful presence where students can experience both respite and renewal.
