Housing Application Process
Step 1 – Get Ready to Apply
All current and admitted students can apply.
- Complete your TWU application process (if not already done).
- Read and sign the Student Code of Conduct.
- Review the Resident Life & Housing Policies.
- Undergraduate Program Policy: First- and second-year students must apply for housing unless living at home.
Explore:
- Get to know our residences.
- Learn more about eligibility for dorms/apartments.
Step 2 – Apply for Housing
- Log in to your student portal and submit the online housing application.
- Pay the housing application fee.
- If needed: Reset your TWU password.
Step 3 – Select a Roommate
- After completing your application, you have the option to join the roommate selection process.
- Roommate requests must be accepted.
Step 4 – Select a Building & Room
- Review the lottery selection process for details.
- On the date listed in Housing Dates & Deadlines, you'll receive a lottery number.
- Your lottery number determines the earliest time you can log in to select your building and room.
- Whoever comes first in the lottery will pick for their roommates.
Step 5 – Move In
- No early arrivals—time is needed to prepare rooms.
- Check Dates & Deadlines for move-in dates.
- Move-in details will be emailed to your @mytwu account 2-3 weeks before your date.
- You will need your student ID for building access and meal plan. If you haven't already done so, submit a request for a student ID card (follow photo guidelines).
