Through its many and diverse areas of study, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences provides multiple perspectives on the question, “What does it mean to be human?”

Studying the humanities and social sciences will help increase your understanding of the ideas, events, languages, social structures, religious beliefs, and processes that have shaped individuals and societies in the past and present. A degree from any area in the humanities and social sciences can help you change our world, not only through the knowledge gained from your studies, but also through the person you become as you engage with ideas and cultures past and present, local and global.
