Dean's Message

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) is an expansive area of studies that connects our understanding and experience of being human with a rich Christian tradition.

The humanities and social sciences are the foundation for a dynamic learning experience. Students are introduced to philosophical, historical, literary, psychological, and sociological views of what it means to be human and how to engage the world.

Our undergraduate and graduate programs are student focused with excellent faculty to serve your future goals. Students in FHSS are globally aware, able to conduct research, think analytically, evaluate organizations, provide leadership, and serve some of the most vulnerable people. Students have opportunities to gain experience through practicums with a broad range of agencies across cultural contexts. Our graduates find themselves in many positions with governmental agencies, human services, faith-based organizations, local congregations, educational settings, human resources, and graduate programs.
