How would you describe yourself and your identity in Christ: In my faith, I find my identity in Christ, seeing each day as an opportunity to serve with compassion and integrity, reflecting His love through my work and personal life. My commitment to beauty, language, and connection mirrors the grace and creativity I believe God has instilled in me.
What inspires me most about my work: At the heart of my professional journey lies a deep-seated passion for fostering the academic and cultural enrichment of international students. With my role at TWU, I have harnessed my expertise as a RCIC and RISIA to provide immigration advice and support a diverse student body, empowering them to navigate the complexities of post-secondary education in Canada.
Outside work, what brings me most joy: In my personal life, I’m passionate about art, writing, reading, and translating—anything that celebrates beauty, words, and language. I’m also a devoted animal lover, with a 13-year-old tabby. As a language enthusiast, I’m fluent in English and Mandarin, and I also understand Cantonese and basic Japanese.
What’s the best advice I’ve been given: The best advice I’ve received is to embrace curiosity and continuous learning. In both my professional journey in international education and my personal passions, this mindset has driven my growth and allowed me to connect deeply with others, transforming challenges into opportunities for understanding and development.
