Core Courses

All MA in Leadership and MA in Educational Leadership students are required to take the following:

  • LDRS 500: Leadership Foundations
  • LDRS 591: Scholarly Inquiry
  • LDRS 502: Team Leadership and Conflict Resolution
  • LDRS 503: Results Based Leadership
  • LDRS 504: Leadership Values and Ethics (*MAEL and EDUC Stream students take LDRS 620 instead)
  • LDRS 501: Strategic Leadership

Independent Capstone (Leadership Integration Project) or Thesis 

by application only

  • LDRS 697 and 698: Leadership Integration Project (LIP)
    or
  • LDRS 684 and 685: Thesis & CPSY 517: Advanced Data Analysis

 

Specialization Courses

Students take four online courses from their chosen specialization (Except for Educational Leadership (MAEL) students, who must take all five Educational Leadership courses).

Business Specialization

  • LDRS 614: Mission, Marketing, and Quality
  • LDRS 617: Employee Engagement and Stewardship

Health Care Specialization

  • LDRS 631: Health Leadership Issues
  • LDRS 632: Leadership and Change
  • LDRS 634: Accountability and Performance
  • LDRS 617: Employee Engagement and Stewardship

Education Specialization (K-12)*/MAEL

  • LDRS 620: Worldview Foundation of Educational Leadership **
  • LDRS 623: Developing Educational Programs
  • LDRS 624: School Leadership and Supervision
  • LDRS 625: Educational Leadership and Dynamics of Change
  • LDRS 626: Leadership for Contemporary Educational Issues

General Stream

  • Choose any 4 courses from the Business, Health Care, or Education streams.
