Workshop: How Academic Status Affects Immigration Status
Join this workshop to gain a better understanding of how your academic status will affect your immigration status, and how to prepare yourself before you need to take a break from studies.
This workshop will cover the following topics, including but not limited to:
- How to prepare yourself before taking personal leave from your studies, such as if a family member is sick
- If you choose to take personal leave from your studies, will it affect your study permit status?
- If you plan to take personal leave from your studies, will it impact your PGWP application in the future? How can you prepare for that potential impact?
- If you cannot catch up with your studies and become a part-time student, how will it affect your study permit status?
If your questions are not addressed during the workshop, you can book one-on-one follow-up sessions with a TWU Immigration Advisor (RCIC/RISIA).
Workshop Speaker: Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA)/Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC)
