Dr. Kimberly Franklin presented with a Teacher Educator of the Year Award

The Association of British Columbia Deans of Education (ABCDE) presented a TEACHER EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR Award to Dr. Kimberly Franklin, former Dean of Education in Trinity Western University’s School of Education on Friday, May 4th 2018. Dr. Franklin has provided exceptional mentoring leadership to teacher candidates and faculty members. She has also overseen two additions to the TWU program—Indigenous Education and Gender Issues. Dr. Franklin is strongly committed to teaching, research and mentoring and she has set high standards for faculty members who prepare and enable teachers for K-12 schools. Dr. Franklin has also played a key role in helping ABCDE and the B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch to refine policies and procedures for reviewing teacher education programs in the province.  What a well-deserved recognition for Dr. Franklin- the impact of her work at TWU and beyond is a true blessing.
