We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that have unfolded in the Tumbler Ridge community in northeastern British Columbia. Our hearts grieve alongside the families who have lost loved ones, and we hold in prayer all those who will be recovering from this terrible act of violence in the days, months, and even years ahead. Together with fellow academic institutions, we have lowered our flag to half-mast in remembrance and honour of the victims and in solidarity with the Tumbler Ridge community as it mourns.
