Introducing the new Trinity Commons

A transformed space for study, rest and collaboration

Trinity Western University welcomes students, staff and community to the Trinity Commons, a newly transformed space at the centre of campus that features custom-made large study tables, a quiet reading room, and a stage with a built-in screen.

Newly renovated with the generous support of donors, the Trinity Commons has enhanced features to foster campus community and boost productivity.

This space features all-new flooring and newly purchased furniture. Custom-made, large wooden study tables have been installed upon student request, and fitted with comfortable chairs.

A refreshed ceiling and new, modern light fixtures provide excellent lighting for group or individual study sessions.

Next to the floor-to-ceiling windows, a custom-made tall bar stretches across the room, serving as a standing desk or a tall stool-height bar, depending on one’s standing or seating preference.

In the center of the room is a mobile concierge desk, which will be hosted daily to help the community navigate the campus and find resources.

On the south side of the room is a projector, built-in screen and a stage, ready to accommodate live events. On the north side is a reading nook – a peaceful section separated by wooden dividers and furnished with club chairs and coffee tables. Multiple outlets have been installed along the walls for students’ convenient access for charging laptops and devices.

The Trinity Commons is located between the Norma Marion Alloway Library and the Reimer Student Centre (where the Main Cafeteria and the TW Campus Store are located). It is a place where students naturally flow when transitioning between classes, meals and research work.

This beautiful, atrium-like space in the heart of campus features large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking campus greenery, the Library Gardens and the iconic Bell Tower. Whenever the Bell Tower chimes, it echoes audibly within the Trinity Commons.

We look forward to welcoming the TWU community to the Trinity Commons to study, relax or socialize this coming semester.
