Trinity Western Spartans Womens Volleyball team win their 4th straight Canada West Championship

Spartans Men's and Women's volleyball teams advance to national championships

The Trinity Western Spartans Women's Volleyball team, who swept their way to the Canada West championship, will be the No. 1 seed at this week's U SPORTS Women's Volleyball Championship.

U SPORTS announced the seeding on Sunday for the 2023 national tournament, which runs from Friday to Sunday at UBC's War Memorial Gym in Vancouver. This is the fourth straight time, and the sixth since 2015, that the Spartans have entered the tournament as favourites.

The Trinity Western Spartans Men's Volleyball team, who are looking for their seventh national championship title, will be the No. 3 seed at this week's U SPORTS Men's Volleyball Championship.

The Spartans will open the championship on Friday against the RSEQ finalist Montreal. Carabins at 8 p.m. ET. The Spartans have won three of the last five national championships.
 
The Alberta Golden Bears, who have been the top-ranked team throughout the season, will be the No. 1 seed. This is the first time the Golden Bears, who are seeking their ninth Tantramar Trophy, come into the tournament as favourites since 2014.
 
U SPORTS announced the seeding on Sunday for the 2023 national tournament, which runs from Friday to Sunday at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
