TWU Giving Day 2025: Generosity empowers students to thrive

Contributing together toward the future of Christian education

Creativity meets generosity

This year’s Giving Day took a unique approach by highlighting needs across University departments—every academic area and campus brought forward their best projects and ideas to advance student learning and provide greater opportunities for giving.

The campaign, which runs untill April 30, has already raised $210,180 toward 15 different projects that span all areas of TWU’s campus improvements, academic and curricular innovation, athletics, and student life.

Every dollar gifted goes directly to its designated project, matching individual donor desires with a specific opportunity to impact students’ futures.

“The dream of Giving Day has always been to bring alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends together to support the university that we all love.
Thank you, TWU community, for making Giving Day such a success!”

Shaping the lives of future leaders

“Trinity Western University has shaped so many lives—including mine. I have seen firsthand the power of our community coming together to bless the next generation of godly Christian leaders,” TWU President Todd F. Martin expressed.

The highlight of the month-long Giving Day campaign included two days of festivities and competitions on April 2-3. During that memorable week, a palpable sense of excitement was felt across Trinity Western's campuses as alumni, supporters, faculty, staff, students, and TWU’s broader community joined forces to foster a greater spirit of generosity and help equip students for their callings.

Exceeding goals

Excitement grew as faculty and staff engaged in spirited challenges to unlock additional funding as colleagues cheered them on. The Executive Leadership Team added to the momentum by offering a special match—$50 to the Student Impact Fund for each employee donation, generating added contributions for student scholarships.

Their combined efforts resulted in 801 donor contributions over two days, representing 160% of the donation count goal.

Giving generously

From generating funds to launch a business incubator that supports future founders and entrepreneurs, to enabling the purchase of technology that allows students to take real-time measurements of crucial gases to monitor the environment's health, the TWU community rallied behind important causes and gave generously.

The Department of Leadership and GLOBAL Initiatives emerged as frontrunners in the competition for donor participation, while the School of Education and School of Nursing demonstrated remarkable donor totals.

Fulfilling the dream

“The dream of Giving Day has always been to bring alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends together to support the university that we all love,” commented Ann Barnard Ball, senior vice president of Advancement. “Thank you, TWU community, for making Giving Day such a success!”
