TWU hosts Leadership Forum

Trinity Western University’s Master of Arts in Leadership (MA Lead) program is hosting its third annual Leadership Forum on Monday, July 21.

“This event is geared toward those in leadership and leadership support roles,” said event coordinator Janice Nikkel (MA Lead ’08), who serves as Parent Engagement Officer at TWU. “It’s a learning and networking event, which brings people from a variety of fields together, to be encouraged in their roles.”

The Leadership Forum, which is open to the public, responds to the fundamental changes today’s leaders face. The one-day event features keynote speaker Dave Phillips—a noted executive mentor, professional speaker, and two-time Guinness World Record holder—as well as several MA Lead alumni speakers.

“No matter what level of leadership one holds, professional development is crucial for helping leaders stay on top of their game,” said Nikkel. “This Forum is designed for those currently in leadership positions—and those wanting to grow in their roles—in a variety of fields, including health care, education, business, and non-profit.”

TWU’s MA in Leadership and the MA in Educational Leadership degrees offer two foundational curriculum themes: Transformational Servant Leadership and Values Based Leadership. The MA Lead degree programs are designed to develop emerging leaders in five areas of specialization (business, Christian ministry, education, health, and non-profit).

In addition to this annual Forum, the Mandarin-language MA in Leadership (Business Stream) hosts their annual Leadership Forum in November in China.
