Spartan women's volleyball celebrated success on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 when Head Coach Ryan Hofer took home U Sports Coach of the Year honours. In his sixth campaign at the helm, he guided the Spartans to second place in the ultra-competitive Canada West conference with a 15-3 regular season record, a silver medal at the conference championship and the No. 2 seed going into the U Sports tournament. Earlier this winter, TWU spent two weeks at No. 1 in the national rankings, a first in program history. Hofer is the first Trinity Western sideline boss to be named U Sports coach of the year in women’s volleyball.
Spartan athletics benefits from the Complete Champion Approach (CCA), a model that supports development in academics, athletics, leadership and the personal and spiritual life, as well as a commitment to winning on the court and field.
