An introduction to the basic relationships governing the existence of all living organisms. The anatomy and physiology at all levels from DNA to organ-systems are studied, looking at energy requirements, inheritance, reproduction, development, and adaptation of representative life forms. This course is designed for non-Science majors only.

An introduction to basic concepts and connections in the study of life, with emphasis on ecology and adaptation of representative life forms. The major plant and animal groups are surveyed with emphasis on unifying elements and diversities. This course is designed for non-Science majors only.

BIB 505 - Biblical Theology & Interpretation | 2026-2027

Introduces biblical theology as a discipline that interprets Scripture as a coherent and unfolding narrative centered on God’s redemptive purposes. Students examine major biblical themes and the relationship between biblical theology, exegesis, and systematic theology, with attention to the unity and diversity of Scripture. Emphasis is placed on tracing themes within the Bible’s storyline and considering the formative significance of Scripture for Christian faith, theology, and ministry.

ART 451 - Socially Engaged Art | 2026-2027

This project based, upper level art and humanities interdisciplinary capstone course fosters interdisciplinary collaborative research and socially engaged art-making practices. Also known as relational aesthetics, socially engaged art explores art as a state of encounter that integrates social science practices alongside art-making practices, co-creating with community organizations to develop socially engaged projects.
