Billy Augustine, MLIS, MEng

University Archivist; Assistant Librarian: Special Collections
Some of the most awe-inspiring moments of human living are found within the experience of learning — a sacred space where knowledge and wisdom are freely chosen. As University Archivist at TWU, I am passionate about building a welcoming, accessible, and informative archival ecosystem for learners everywhere.

Billy is an innovative educator and information professional specializing in digital preservation and the management of institutional, personal, and historical collections. As University Archivist at TWU, he is passionate about designing archives that are approachable, accessible, and educational — transforming raw archival data into engaging digital learning resources.

His diverse academic background brings a quantitative, analytical mindset to systematic archiving, and he provides specialized research support to students across all graduate and undergraduate programs. He cherishes these moments of interaction with students, viewing them as opportunities to participate in God's work of transformation and renewal.

Billy lives in Langley, BC, with his wife, Nerthi and daughter, Candace, a Media + Communication alumna of TWU. Outside of work, he enjoys playing acoustic and bass guitar — both at home and with the worship team at his local church.
