Biography

Originally from Tehran, Iran, Hamid Delijani serves as Assistant Chaplain at Trinity Western University. He is a pastor, ministry leader, and cross-cultural practitioner with a deep passion for discipleship, spiritual formation, and helping students encounter Christ through authentic relationships, hospitality, and community.

With 30 years of ministry experience, Hamid has served in Iran, Turkey, and Canada in diverse church and ministry contexts. Over the years, he has had the privilege of seeing many lives transformed through evangelism, discipleship, and pastoral care. Since 2018, he has also served as the founder and lead pastor of an international online church serving the Iranian community. His vision is to develop disciples, equip followers to become leaders, and send them out to bring meaningful change to the world.

He holds a Master’s degree in Ministry and is currently completing his Doctor of Christian Leadership, with a research focus on relational evangelism among international students in Canadian higher education. He is also a licensed pastor with the Foursquare denomination.

At TWU, Hamid is passionate about walking alongside students in their academic, personal, and spiritual journeys. He values creating spaces of belonging where students from different cultures and backgrounds can grow in faith, receive support, and be equipped for leadership and service.

Hamid is married to his wife, Samira, and they live in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Outside of ministry and academic life, he enjoys swimming, hiking, and practicing Tai Chi, in which he holds a black belt. He especially enjoys worship in the chapel and the opportunity to gather in community around faith and prayer.
