John Simons, PhD, JD
John Simons brings more than 25 years of leadership experience to his role as Associate Dean at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Dr. Simons graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of The Florida Law Review. He practiced law in the US states of Georgia and Florida. After more than ten years in the legal field, Dr. Simons returned to theological education, earning an MA in Theological Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary. He earned his PhD in Theological Studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School of Trinity International University. His dissertation explored the ways in which puritan magistrates sought to reinforce their theological views through their jurisprudence and legislation.
Dr. Simons and his wife have three adult children.
