Research Interests

The positive psychology of meaning, spirituality, optimism, death acceptance, and effective coping. Multicultural competencies in counseling and supervision. My publications on stress appraisal, reminiscence, personal meaning, successful aging and death attitudes have been widely cited in journal articles and textbooks. More than ten of my papers have been included in various anthologies of readings.
