Admission Requirements

Qualified applicants who wish to apply may begin anytime to send the following documents and information to admissions@twu.ca:

• A master's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
• Minimum three years of full-time ministry experience post graduate studies.
• Four references: one pastoral, one academic, and two character. All references must be written by persons who know you well and can confidently speak of your character.
• A TOEFL score of 100 or IELTS score of 7.0 (if applicable).
• A personal statement (500–800 words), a ministry goal statement (300–500 words), and a research goal statement (300–500 words).
• An academic writing sample (approximately 7,000 words). 

Application Deadlines

There are two admission dates a year—in the fall and in the spring. The respective deadlines for domestic applications are Jan. 15 and Sept. 15.

Requirements for International Students

Successful applicants for the program in English will demonstrate English language proficiency at a graduate level of analysis and thinking. Please see the graduate studies international applicants webpage for a list of organizations that can provide an evaluation.
